Killarney Golf Club

The Killeen Course

Set in the heart of Killarney National Park, Killeen is a championship parkland course of rare beauty, framed by Lough Leane and the towering MacGillycuddy’s Reeks. In striking contrast to Ireland’s rugged links, Killeen is renowned for its pristine, manicured fairways and smooth, tree-lined corridors that glide through a landscape of lakes and mountains. Designed by Eddie Hackett and Dr. Billy O’Sullivan, it combines elegance and challenge in perfect balance.

A four-time host of the Irish Open (1991, 1992, 2010, 2011), Killeen has seen champions like Nick Faldo and Nick Price stride down its fairways in glory. Signature holes include the par-3 3rd, “Eagle’s Eye,” playing toward the lake, and the closing 18th, a dramatic test along the water’s edge. With its immaculate presentation and world-class pedigree, Killeen is a course where scenery and competition converge, leaving every player with a memory of greatness.
